Conduct Tip Truck Operations
The unit is appropriate for those working in supervisory and technical specialist roles, and covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct tip truck operations in the Resources and Infrastructure industries.
We provide site specific training and assessment services. This unit is offered in three modes: full course training and assessment, assessment only, and RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning).
Skills and knowledge that must be demonstrated to pass this unit include:
Planning and preparing for tip truck operations.
Conducting tip truck pre-operational checks.
Operating tip truck.
Loading, transporting, and tipping materials.
Carrying out operator maintenance.
Cleaning up.
All participants will need to demonstrate suitable LLN skills. Participants will need to be 18 years of age or older.
Participants will need to hold a Heavy Vehicle Drivers License i.e. Heavy Rigid (HR), Heavy Combination (HC) or Multicombination (MC).
On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a nationally recognised statement of attainment.
On the day
Participants will need to bring with them:
Their USI
Appropriate protective clothing - long pants, long-sleeved shirt and steel cap boots (no thongs or T-shirts)
Hi-Vis vests and hard hats will be provided where necessary.
