Conduct Civil Construction Dozer Operations

The unit applies to those working in site based roles, and covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct dozer operations.

We provide site specific training and assessment services. This unit is offered in three modes: full course training and assessment, assessment only, and RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning).

Skills and knowledge that must be demonstrated to pass this unit include:

  1. Planning and preparing for dozer operations.

  2. Operating dozer in line with established requirements to complete work plan.

  3. Selecting, removing, fitting and using attachments for a dozer.

  4. Relocating the dozer.

  5. Conducting housekeeping activities.

Please note this unit is only offered as Workplace/On Site delivery only, or additional costs may be incurred for plant hire arrangements.

All participants will need to demonstrate suitable LLN skills. Participants will need to be 18 years of age or older.

On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a nationally recognised statement of attainment.

On the day

Participants will need to bring with them:

  • Their Unique Student Identifier (USI) number

  • Appropriate protective clothing - long pants, long-sleeved shirt and steel cap boots

    (no thongs or T-shirts)

  • Photo ID / Drivers License

  • Water Bottle

Hi-Vis vests and hard hats will be provided where necessary.
